Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

It’s one of my favorite holidays of the year. There’s something terrific about seeing everyone act like kids: dressing in costume, nibbling on candy, having goofy parties. And one of the best parts of Halloween is the movies—horror, suspense, vampires, scary spoofs, cartoon favorites …

So if you’re not heading out to party and trick-or-treat, turn off all the lights, curl up on the couch with popcorn and candy corn and watch a Halloweeny movie. It’s a must.

Here are our picks, what are yours?

–>Jack’s Picks:

Alien (1979)

The Saw Series, I-VI (2004-2009 )
(We just saw VI last night. Not bad.)

The Exorcist (1973)

1408 (2207)

Underworld series (2003-2009)

Fright Night (1985)

–> Mic’s Picks:

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)

Sweeny Todd (2007)

Buffy the Vampire Slayer series (1997-2003)

Rosemary’s Baby (1968)

Scream series (1996-2000)

The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror series (1990-present)

(new one on Sunday, Nov 7)

  2. I’ve always loved “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” though I’m never sure whether to watch it at Halloween or Christmas! My oldest son loves it so much, he has a tat of Jack and Zero on his upper right arm. 🙂

  3. Love the Underworld series and Charlie Brown. As for the rest of the movies on the list… A bit too much for me. My stomach can’t handle it!
